An unlikely group of high school students find themselves pulled together by the discovery of five mysterious coloured stones that they soon realise contains a great power that has been cast upon them from the previous generation of super warriors. Forced to overcome their personal issues, the teenagers must harness their new strengths and work together in order to save the world from a remerged, alien treat and become the next age of Power Rangers.

Years in the future of the X-Men universe, the existence of mutants is in a substantial decline. Hidden away from the rest of humanity, Logan nurses an indisposed Professor Xavier. Not in good shape himself, the duo are soon interrupted by a gang of hostile individuals, who are on the search for an extraordinary young girl. The girl happens to possess impressive ability and combative powers, similar to Wolverine himself. It’s down to the drained warrior to get the girl away from evil clutches in a live or die sequence of events.

Originally made into one singular film back in 2004 under the same name, the narrative follows three siblings recently orphaned after a fire destroying their family home; propelling them into a world lacking the stability and safety they were accustomed to.

Intended as part of the recruitment, the possessed witch Enchantress is quick to revolt against the operatives and seek resurrection of her brother and assist her plot for domination. It’s then down to the band of bad guys to ultimately put a stop to the power-driven antagonist, collaborating together their mix of contrasting abilities

In the age of technology, our society is exposed to many new and radical notions that may have once seemed unthinkable to exist in the real world. 2016 saw the release of teenage action feature Nerve, of which graced our cinema screens to depict an extreme, online game of truth or dare. Situated in a world virtually identical to our own, the film displays similarities, yet still holds an utmost far-fetched notion concerning the world of social media and online way of life. The question lies to whether or not these notions could in fact be plausible in our current society or if it’s just too drastic even for our world.
