Years in the future of the X-Men universe, the existence of mutants is in a substantial decline. Hidden away from the rest of humanity, Logan nurses an indisposed Professor Xavier. Not in good shape himself, the duo are soon interrupted by a gang of hostile individuals, who are on the search for an extraordinary young girl. The girl happens to possess impressive ability and combative powers, similar to Wolverine himself. It’s down to the drained warrior to get the girl away from evil clutches in a live or die sequence of events.

Nearing the end of 2016, it’s about time to reflect on the releases of this year. Thanks to Cineworld Unlimited, I’ve managed to get to my local cinema a vast amount of times this year, so I’ve got a lot to choose from. After the events of Avengers: Age of Ultron, the future of the group is under scrutiny from media and political standpoints. Due to the consequences of previous actions and the collateral damage caused to humanity, a new governing body takes control of the team; A rift between Captain America (Chris Evans) himself and the industrial billionaire, Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) begins to erupt; sides are taken through the whole team, as well as a little help from some outsiders.

Following his grandfather’s dying wish, he pursues the headmistress, a shape-shifting protector and time manipulator, who took residence in 1943. Jake soon discovers the truth about his grandfather’s death, and his family’s connection to the world of the peculiars. Coming into acquaintance with the villainous Baron, Jake must now fight for the protection of the children.

Huntsman: Winter’s War (2016)

Left heartbroken after the loss of her only child, Freya abandons the forest land and her evil Queen sister Ravenna for a solitary confinement in the winter wilderness of the North,  taking a new command over the dominion. Bitter from her past, the icy Queen raises an army of Huntsmen, capturing and training children into toughened soldiers. Star-crossed lovers Sara and Eric are forced apart from the resentful monarch, after prohibiting the existence of love in her realm. When finally reunited, along with new accomplices, they must together regain back the lost, magic mirror before anything further can happen to the future of their lands.

Determined young writer, Edith Cushing bears boundless imagination capable of envisioning ghosts due to the existence of her past haunting her.
